ITAM students won the bronze medal during the International Economics Olympiad. On this occasion, the members of the Mexican delegation were supported by Dr. Agustin Carstens, through ITAM, and all of them achieved positions in the medal table.

The results of the 2023 International Economics Olympiad (IEO), which took place in Volos, Greece,  were announced on august 1st. In this edition, the Mexican team received a silver medal, four bronze medals and an honorable mention. Damian Gallardo, student of the Financial Management Undergraduate Program, Gabriel Puszkar, enrolled in the Political Science Undergraduate Program, Arturo F. and Rebeca S. received the bronze medal. On the other hand, Juan Felipe V. received the silver medal and got an honorable mention for his results in the financial aspect of the Olympiad. 

This was the second occasion in which ITAM has been in charge of the preparation of the Mexican representative team and in which the delegation achieved a position in the medal table. Also, this year the team received the support of Agustin Carstens, who who donated the resources from the King of Spain Prize in Economics to ITAM  to provide assistance to the youth in their IEO participation.
